Using the FIRE panic button on your control panel will notify the fire department instantly. And unlike 911, ADT representatives can pinpoint your location, saving precious time.

Cold Smoke vs. Hot Smoke
Most standard smoke detectors are only set off by "hot smoke," meaning that flame or heat must be present. ADT systems are hard-wired to a photoelectric smoke detector, which can detect "cold smoke." Smoke from cold sources like cigarettes or slow-burning electrical fires can smolder for hours before actually producing flame.
